Home is in Our Falling Star πŸ‘🌟

Drive me home
down that old dirt road
listening to country music
that song, melody we know.

Let the sun set.
More time together,
another tomorrow.
Each ray of sun,
Each star in the night sky
a moment
a picturesque light
for us.

Before I open our front door
he yells, “Babe, hurry! Come look at this!”

A moment on fire
falling
so beautifully
an arch
cursive
connect the stars.

In awe I keep looking
at the sky
waiting for another to fall.
He leans down
and it’s me
I’m falling.

We both lost a breath
we’ll never get back.
Home on the couch
cuddled and close.

“I’m home.”
