Inner Light

the world gets dull, dark, and mundane.

We become stuck on the day-to-day.

We grow up,

the magic of the world begins to fade.
With envy,

we dream of our childhood

and speak of old memories.

We do everything we can

to give the young

what the old lives for.
A moment,

to think beyond yourself.

To share your story,

lessons, mistakes, and truths.

For an instant

the world doesn’t exist.

Imagination conquers all.
If we can’t imagine,

then how can we believe?
That little light needs oxygen to breathe.

If it’s a Christmas tree,

an angel, a candle, so many things.

Let your heart sore!
